synopsis Bott and Sandy are from the North East and the wrong side of the tracks. They've got nothing. Set the late 90s, they see asylum seekers on TV news reports getting re-housed and so team up and set out on a black comedy adventure to seek asylum for themselves and get their very own council flat. They hitch to France and promptly smuggle themselves back in to claim asylum by pretending to be Kosovans, utterly confusing the Kosovans they buddy up with. Unfortunately they fall victim to a new Government initiative. All of the kosovan group are denied asylum and are fast tracked straight back to Eastern Europe...along with Bott and Sandy! The Kosovans return to their war ravaged farms where Bott and Sandy are shown a darker side to the world, however they take our protagonists under their wing and, even though they have nothing themselves, give them a small plot of land, some building materials and help. For the first time in their lives Bott and Sandy have a home and something to give back in return........ mutual respect. And here they fall in-love.
