funding and production strategy The production has already gained script development funding from the UK FILM COUNCIL via Northern Film and Media. The trailer has already been shot with private investment to promote and attract investment internationally and it can be seen on youtube. DVD copies are also available. We are currently the in process of applying to both the Slovenian and Macedonian Film Funds for production costs for the 'Kosovan' half of the shoot. We also plan to apply to the UK FILM COUNCILs' New Cinema Fund and Premiere fund for production money for the UK half of the shoot (some private funding has been raised in the UK.) As soon as we get the funding confirmed we will apply to Euroimage for co-production support and Media cinema distribution. Distribution will start by showing at film festivals and we are timing production for a premier at the Berlin Film Festival, Cannes or Venice. The Sundance festival will also hopefully be a showcase. We plan to make a UK premier at the BFI London Film Festival. The Macedonian premier will be at the Brothers Manki film festival and plan to make the Slovenian premier at Liffe in Ljubljana. We plan to screen the film in Dvor art cinema in Ljubljana and Cinemas in Skopje. We are planning to attend both The European Film Market (EFM) which is one of the most important events of the international film industry and CineMart, the co-production market of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, which was the first of its kind in the world. There we plan to look for future co production partners and distributers from Holland and Germany. We plan to approach and partner up with a sales agent in the Uk and / or Europe as we believe this film will have a pan European market.
